DSA is proud to welcome International Swim Coach Dick
Orbell as Squad Program Director who will be permanently
based in Malaysia and will be overseeing the training of
the DSA Squad Team at all locations starting January 20,
2018.
Dick Orbell has been a swimming coach for 25 years.
He was the National Coach of the Australian World Cup
Teams and the Para-Olympic Australia Team who had
achieved 14 Gold, 15 Silver, 21 Bronze in 2000 Paralympic
Games.
During this time he has also coached an Australian
Champion, 2 Olympic swimmers, and a number of
Commonwealth Games swimmers. Dick is also an
accomplished swimmer, having represented Australia
at the 1984 Olympic Games and also served as the
Australian Men’s Swimming Team Captain. Dick won one
gold and a silver in the Commonwealth Games.
