DSA conducted a water safety awareness program at the KL Sports Arena attended by YB Nik Nazmi bin Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability and Member of Parliament for Setiawangsa.
Water safety for children is crucial to prevent accidents and ensure their well-being. Teaching kids how to swim and educating them on water safety rules can significantly reduce the risk of drowning, which is a leading cause of accidental death among young children. Understanding safe practices, such as never swimming alone and recognizing hazardous water conditions, equips children with the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy water activities safely. These insights on the importance of water safety, high quality aquatic education and high standards in the operation and maintenance of swimming pools were shared with all delegations through the demonstrations by the DSA swim teachers.
As the largest international award winning swim centre in Malaysia, DSA is proud to uphold industry standards for teaching swimming and water safety based on Australian protocols. Our commitment to excellence ensures that our facilities and programs meet the highest benchmarks in the industry.
